In a circular published today, Dhaka Mass Rapid Transit Limited (DMTCL), the operating organisation of Dhaka Metrorail, informed about the selling time of Metrorail passes for passengers. According to the circular, interested passengers can collect a Metrorail pass from Uttara North and Agargaon station starting tomorrow from 3.00 pm to 9.00 pm.
To collect an MRT Pass, passengers will have to pay 200 takas for the card and 300 takas extra as the usable amount, which is a total of 500 takas.
Passengers can download the registration form from the DMTCL website and Facebook page. The passengers must submit the properly filled-up MRT Pass registration form at the station counter while collecting the pass.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the first-ever Metrorail communication in Bangladesh yesterday, and initially, Metrorail will continue its operation from Uttara to Agargaon station without any stoppage. But it will start stopping at different stations very soon. People from all wakes of life in Dhaka are showing so much enthusiasm for travelling by Metrorail from the very first day it started its commercial operation today. A huge number of passengers were found gathering at both the Agargaon and Uttara Stations today to become part of history as the first passenger of the Metrorail in Bangladesh. DMTCL already fixed up the ticket fares for the stations it has designated.
